Election Commission says electoral roll needs intense review, only eligible citizens should be on it

Amid massive protests by opposition leaders in the country, the Election Commission on Monday said the special intensive revision is needed as the electoral roll keeps changing due to a variety of reasons and the Constitution mandates it to ensure that only eligible citizens are part of the voters' list and those not, do not get to vote.
